I Had A Leaky Sink

I had a leaky sink. I didn’t know how to fix it on my own, but I didn’t want help. I decided to place buckets under to catch the dripping water. They would slowly fill and I’d simply replace it. I set the full bucket aside; I didn’t empty it. This process became so normal for me, despite the full buckets taking up so much space. Occasionally, someone wanted to try to fix the sink. I would let them, only they never fixed it. They would make it worse. I was able to fix it just enough. Returned to dripping water again. It gave me a false sense of security. I could “fix it” on my own. One day, the sink was leaking pretty badly. I couldn’t get it back down to a drip. I tried to replace the bucket, except I couldn’t find one. I desperately searched. In the process of this frantic search, I failed to find another and I knocked over all the full buckets I was so used to stepping around. My kitchen was flooded. I sat soaking in the water, despaired by the mess I made, the mess I couldn’t clean alone. A friend brought me a dry towel, but made me move to a dry room to receive it. He brought me to someone that could show me how to fix my sink, and to repair it in the future. My sink drips water from time to time. I know how to fix my leaky sink.
